I’m Tara, your resident Wine Passionista!

I’m from London originally (born and raised!) although I certainly don’t sound English!  From age ten I’ve lived between the Bahamas and the US (Florida, New York, California). When I moved back to London a few years ago to be a Sommelier in a lovely Mayfair hotel, I brought with me a decidedly American accent!

For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated by wine and how it can transport you to beautiful places around the world by taking a sip and listening to the story that unfolds in the glass.

I am a huge advocate for trying new wines – as many as possible, as often as possible! This is, without a doubt, the best way to learn about wine and to experience the amazing quality and diversity available today.

I have been very fortunate to study in this wonderful field and learn more about the gorgeous wines of the world.  I have been a student at London’s Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) where I received a Distinction and a Scholarship for the Advanced Level and in 2009, completed the Diploma degree.  I am also a WSET Certified Educator and Certified Specialist of Wine.  In 2010 I participated as a judge at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) and International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC).
